BROOKIE
To be a Brookie, a member of The Brook Place, is to make an intentional, covenant choice to be planted in this family of believers. It is not casual attendance. It is not digital followership. It is a deliberate decision to grow in faith, fellowship, and purpose inside a specific house with a specific mandate.
Our mission is to Educate, Empower, and Equip you to live out God's mandate in every sphere of your life, as we build together, grow together, and advance together.

CHURCH MEMBERSHIP
TWO THINGS
WE ASK OF YOU
Membership at The Brook Place begins at the cross. To confess Jesus as Lord is not merely to acknowledge his existence — it is to surrender the throne of your life to him. The Greek word kyrios (Lord) was the title of supreme authority. To call Jesus kyrios is to declare that every other power — fear, ambition, self — must bow. This is the foundation on which everything else is built.
Our New Members Programme is where vision meets relationship. You will learn the DNA of The Brook Place: our history, our values, our doctrine, and our mandate. You will understand what it means to be a community, not just a congregation. You will step into this house knowing exactly who we are and where we are going. Together.

THE WORD BEHIND THE MEMBERSHIP
WHAT SCRIPTURE SAYS
ABOUT BELONGING
Ekklēsia is the New Testament word for "church," meaning the "called out ones." It describes a community of believers united in Christ, not merely a building or institution. This word reminds believers that they belong to God's family, share a divine purpose, and each have a vital role in advancing His mission.
The image of the church as a sōma, a body, is one of the most radical statements in all of Scripture. A body cannot function if every part acts independently. The eye cannot say to the hand "I have no need of you." Membership is the declaration that you belong to a body. Your presence matters. Your absence is felt. You are not an audience member. You are a limb.
This word denotes taking part in something alongside someone else. It means you won't have to walk the life alone. You're joining a family of believers who don't just worship together but do life together.
